You may have noticed I haven't been posting nearly as much lately, and its going to stay that way. Right now I think its better if focus on my personal journaling. I'll still post every once in a while if I have something important to say but not very often. It's just a matter of priority.

Much Ado Opening Night!
Tonight was our first preformance of Much Ado About Nothing and we rocked it!! I was soooo nervous before we began (and still a bit shaky now) but everyone did an excellent job! The audience really seemed to enjoy it and that is what truly matters because this show is for them not us :)

Peter Pan Stories
We saw Peter and the Starcatcher yesterday at the Hale Center Theatre. I love this play! Its so fun and different from most other plays. If you have the chance I highly recommend going to see it.
(this is the version we just saw.)
Later in the day Chloe and I watched Finding Neverland. This is the first time I'd seen it and it was soooo cute and sad. Its the story of J.M. Barrie (who wrote Peter Pan). I also recommend watching this. Its on Netflix for all you Netflix people.

Change
I turned 18 last month and now the gate is opening... everything is changing! Its a little scary and overwhelming to think about the future, and how close it is. But I keep having to remind myself that change is not a bad thing. In fact its why we are here on this earth, to learn and grow and change.
Spring is always a wonderful reminder of how beautiful change can be. That we need to not be afraid to let one season of our life go in order to start another even more beautiful one.

Sticky note love ;)
This is what happens if I leave my friends unsupervised in my house...
They left these in secret hiding places everywhere!! My little sisters have been so excited when they find one that was really well hidden :)
Thanks guys, you brightened all our days!

Light Side Choir Thank You
We had our family and friends Choir performance tonight and now I'm sad. This is my last semester! I've been in the choir for 5 (or 6) years and now its time to move on.
I'm so thankful for my mother (who is the choir director) for all the time, energy and love she has put into making these the best years of my life. The preforming arts are so big a part of my life, and I wouldn't have been doing it if it wasn't for my mother. She has shaped me into who I am because of these experiences.
Thank you to everyone who is or has ever been in choir. It would not have been the same without you! Just like in singing we needed every voice to sound as one. Every single one of you has sung a part in my life.
I can't wait to come back and watch the choir continue to grow. and I hope the choir alumni will be allowed to do special performances ;)
If you want to watch past choir performances Our Studio Films has some, and will most likely have the latest performance soon.

Fixer Upper!
So I'm going to accomplish nothing for the next couple of days. Netflix just got season two of Fixer Upper! If you know what that is you should be screaming too. If you don't know what it is I'll tell you and then you can scream.
Chip and Joanna Gaines, own and operate Magnolia Homes, a remodeling and design business in Waco, Texas, and "Fixer Upper" shows the process by which the couple turn dilapidated but potential-rich houses into showplaces that are helping revitalize whole neighborhoods throughout central Texas. Chip manages the construction and realty side of Magnolia and Joanna is the lead designer.
But what makes this show truly great is the couple themselves. They are the cutest funniest couple ever to have their own TV show. Usually I can't stand watching shows like this because of the people in it, but they are just so real and funny. And they have a cute family...
If you have Netflix go binge watch season 1 and 2. Then look forward to season 3! Hope you enjoy :)
Im going to go... work now...

General Conference Quotes
This Conference weekend has been amazing! So many wonderful and inspiring messages from the apostles of the Lord were shared. My personal theme from this conference was Peace and Hope. In every message it seemed a subtle theme of peace or hope was hidden, the whole spirit of the conference gave this feeling to me.
Each conference truly re-awakens me to the gospel, re-invigorates me to do more. I am defiantly not a prefect person, which is why it is so nice to have the Prophets of God encouraging us to do better and reminding us of who we really are twice a year. It really is a gift!
What was your favorite part of conference? Quotes, themes?
ps. Sorry I was so horrible at posting this week, I was really out of it. I'll do better this week.

Random Short Story Generator
Ok so I was looking up articles about short story writing and I came across this Short Story Generator so I just had to try it and here's how it turned out...
(Oh its a british site apparently so some of the things are really weird and british.)
Title: The Squidgy Teapot
May Butterscotch looked at the squidgy teapot in her hands and felt concerned.
She walked over to the window and reflected on her cosy surroundings. She had always loved deprived Upper Boggington with its ugliest, uneven umbrellas. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel concerned.
Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Forest Trescothik. Forest was a funny queen with wobbly elbows and squat spots.
May gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a hungry, scheming, squash drinker with vast elbows and charming spots.
Her friends say her as a eggy, evil elephant. Once, she had even helped a crispy injured bird recover from a flying accident.
But not even a hungry person who had once helped a crispy injured bird recover rom a flying accident was prepared for what Forest had in store today.
The drizzle rained like walking foxes, making may unstable.
As May stepped outside and forest came closer, she could see the queenlike glint in his eyes. Forest glared with all the wrath of 5038 admirable resonant rabbits. He said, in hushed tones, "I hate you, and I want a pencil."
May looked back, even more unstable and still fingering the squidgy teapot. "Forest, get out of my house." She replied.
They looked at each other with irritable feelings, like two flabby, few foxes chatting at a very snotting Valentines meal, which had drum and bass music playing in the background and two lovable uncles hopping to the beat.
May studies Forests wobbly elbows and squat spots. Eventually, she took a deep breath. "I'm sorry." began May in apologetic tones, "But i don't feel the same way, and i never will. I just don't hate you Forest."
Forest looked lonely, his emotions raw like a tense, terrible torch. May could actually gear forests emotions shatter into 2503 pieces, Then the funny queen hurried away into the distance. Not even a beaker of squash would calm May's nerves tonight.
THE END
Try making your own if you want a laugh!

Easter
Happy Easter everyone!
I had a wonderful lesson in church today about the atonement. How it is a gift for us, and that we need to actively use it in our lives. Christ suffered so that we wouldn't have too. He offers us a fresh start and we need to be wanting and ready to take it.
This Easter Video shows the many miracles that are possible because of our Savior. Please watch if you have time.
Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and can be our friend and confident as well if we simply turn to him.

Beauty
Remember to take the time to appreciate beauty no matter what form it manifests its self in. Doing this can breath new life into you and help you through your life.
To often we can go through our lives with the conveyor belt mind set, everything gets boring and mundane because we are so set on getting... where exactly? That is when we need to remember to look for those beautiful things around us. Beauty surrounds us in so many ways every day. Art, nature, music, writing, people, animals, architecture, FOOD! Just open your eyes!
My personal definition of beauty is anything that makes you go WOW, SIGH, or just smile like a simpleton. Pretty simple right? Here are some things that I find really beautiful.
What is your definition of beauty?

New Writing Books!
Life is great when you have Barnes and Noble gift cards :)
I just got these 3 books for free, and can't wait to read them! I've already started 2 of them and they are really good.
1. Wonderbook, by Jeff Vandermeer
This book so far is very light hearted and fantastical. It feels like it was written like a 5 year old (but in a good way). It talks a lot about creativity and imagination. What they really are and where they really come from. It also has a lot of fun pictures and is very fun to read.
2. Make a Scene, by Jordan E. Rosenfeld
I haven't started this one yet.
3. Writer's Guide to Character Traits, by Linda N. Edelstein
This is like a dictionary of Phycology for writers. It has chapters about personality types, childhood development, phycological disorders, and my favorite criminal types.
Can't offically recomend these books because I don't know if they are going to have anything bad in them but so far I'm really enjoying them.

Kid Forever!
Some days you just need to act like a kid. Growing up can get so serious and stressful that its nice to pretend you are still a kid to blow off steam. Just do whatever comes to your mind, don't filter your ideas because you are supposed to act grown up or mature. Today I ran across the street (yes we waited to cross) hopping on the white lines only. Oh and I danced like a maniac at Theater. Be yourself and don't change for anyone!

Book Recommendation: Character and Viewpoint
Book recommendation:
Character and Viewpoint, by Orson Scott Card
This is just one book of a series of helpful and enjoyable fiction writing books called, The Elements of Fiction Writing. Some of the other books include; Plot, Conflict and Suspense, Beginnings Middles and Ends.
Each book is written by a different author, which is nice because you know this advise is coming from a reliable source. On the down side though not all the authors are very clean in their writing. The only real problem is that some of their writing examples aren't the best.
But they really are helpful books to have and I have visited them time and time again. I strongly suggest you check it out if you are interested in fiction writing.

Spring and New Life!
Today is the first day of spring! YAY! The sky is blue, and its only a matter of time before there are blossoms on the trees, flowers, and green grass. I love spring because its a wonderful reminder and illustration of new life.
We attended the Provo City Center Temple dedication today, and that was also a great illustration of new life. It burnt to the ground, but they rebuilt it into something even more wonderful.
The winter drains me, but every spring I feel new life entering and re-energizing me.
I have no doubt that easter is in the spring time for a reason. The whole world is being reborn! There is no greater reminder than what is all around us. This easter and spring time look around you at all the beauty and know that it is only a small percent of the beauty of the life that is to come. And remember all this is possible because of our Savior. He makes new life possible.
