Change

I turned 18 last month and now the gate is opening... everything is changing! Its a little scary and overwhelming to think about the future, and how close it is. But I keep having to remind myself that change is not a bad thing. In fact its why we are here on this earth, to learn and grow and change.

Spring is always a wonderful reminder of how beautiful change can be. That we need to not be afraid to let one season of our life go in order to start another even more beautiful one.

Sticky note love ;)

This is what happens if I leave my friends unsupervised in my house...
They left these in secret hiding places everywhere!! My little sisters have been so excited when they find one that was really well hidden :)

Thanks guys, you brightened all our days!

General Conference Quotes

This Conference weekend has been amazing! So many wonderful and inspiring messages from the apostles of the Lord were shared. My personal theme from this conference was Peace and Hope. In every message it seemed a subtle theme of peace or hope was hidden, the whole spirit of the conference gave this feeling to me.
Each conference truly re-awakens me to the gospel, re-invigorates me to do more. I am defiantly not a prefect person, which is why it is so nice to have the Prophets of God encouraging us to do better and reminding us of who we really are twice a year. It really is a gift!

What was your favorite part of conference? Quotes, themes?

ps. Sorry I was so horrible at posting this week, I was really out of it. I'll do better this week.

The Magic of Music

This post is in honor of all you guys who stood up and preformed tonight at Symphonic's Showcase! Everyone did so great! Sharing music really helps you get to know someone on a deeper level, and I feel like everyone who got up there truly shared a piece of their soul tonight.

Wanderlust

If travel didn't cost anything, and all people could be trusted I would be gone today! I've always wanted to travel the world and it is a dream that I will make come true. I don't care how hard it will be I just want to get out there and see and experience everything for myself, not just in pictures from my computer screen.

Where is the place you most want to travel to? My first stop would be Europe, anywhere and everywhere in Europe :)

Small and Simple

You never know what effects your actions are going to have. But we do know this simple fact; good actions will lead to good outcomes and bad actions to bad outcomes.

A problem we are facing in this world is that people are to afraid to act. I guess people think that they have to do something big and amazing to have any influence on the world but thats just not true. By small and simple things are great things brought to pass, and we can do those things. Its as easy as saying something nice to someone you wouldn't normally talk to, or helping someone carry something, or even giving someone a smile. You never know what kind of an effect that could have on that persons day.

The world needs more small and simple. If we all do are part the world will be a much brighter place.

Mr. Rogers Quotes

Mr. Rogers was an amazing man. Here are some of my favorite quotes from him and a link to a short documentary about his life and his show.

“All grown ups were children once too.”

“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.

“How sad it is that we give up on people who are just like us.”
"You rarely have time for everything you want in this life, so you need to make choices. And hopefully your choices can come from a deep sense of who you are."

Families and Mission Quotes

I thought I would post these because they are nice simply quotes, and I love the water color backgrounds :)

Its very important for us to remember what is said in these quotes. We have families for a reason. We are here to help and support each other.
Our personal missions are all different, and God has us all in his mind. Remember this as you go through your week.

Books are Cruel!

I have been in morning all day. I finished the third (and last published) Lockwood and Co. book last night and now I don't know what to do. Fan art is not enough to last me until september! Reading is cruel torture.

Comment the book/tv/game/anything that has given you the biggest hangover...

Oh oh EXTRA for the people out there who actually know Lockwood and Co.
I'd heard this song before but hadn't really paid attention to it. But I listened to it right after finishing and it fits so well with the book characters. I love it! Stand By You

Don't Compare, Just be Happy!

Everyone is different, everyone is special, and everyone has there own path in life. If you try to compare your life with any one else you will never be content.

"The grass is always greener on the other side." For all you know they could be looking at you wishing they had your life.

God has a plan for everyone and not one is the same. Love yourself and love your life. We were sent to earth to be happy, so don't spoil it for yourself by comparing yourself to others.

Enduring Adversity

Trials and adversity happen to everyone. Most likely your experiencing one right now. The most important thing to remember is that it will pass, and that God is in control. So no matter how hard life may feel at the moment just remember that this moment is just a small second from an eternal perspective.

Your Heavenly Father knows what you are going through and he will always be there for you. If you are feeling alone or lost, or whatever you are struggling with remember that you can always go to him in prayer for comfort and help. He will help you.

Your family is also there for you, don't forget how important family is when going through hardships. They will be your constant support if only you go to them. And don't forget that you can reach out and support others too. Sometimes all you need to do is get outside yourself and focus on serving the people around you.

Whatever your trial may be don't look at it as a trial look at it as an opportunity for growth. Don't just endure, endure it well. With a good attitude looking towards a brighter future.

Oh and happy valentines day :)
