Home Away From Homes

Do you have those places that just feel like an extension of home? I'm an introvert, that means I need to recharge and being at home is the best place for that. But some specific places can also recharge me, and those places are my most happiest places on earth. 1. Book stores, 2. The Shakespeare Festival.

I don't know about you but whenever I step into a book store I feel like time disappears and I could brows the shelves forever without any consequences.
Twice a year we go as a family down to the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City. Whenever I even think about it it makes me happy! It is a vacation that involves my passion for theater, and the whole atmosphere is just so saturated with it. Truly my home away from homes.

What are you're home away from homes? What places re-charge you?

Wanderlust

If travel didn't cost anything, and all people could be trusted I would be gone today! I've always wanted to travel the world and it is a dream that I will make come true. I don't care how hard it will be I just want to get out there and see and experience everything for myself, not just in pictures from my computer screen.

Where is the place you most want to travel to? My first stop would be Europe, anywhere and everywhere in Europe :)

What is Patience?

Everyone has to exercise patience everyday, in everything. If we didn’t life would blow up in our faces, and the faces of everyone around us. Having patience is more than just learning to wait for things you want. Patience is a lifestyle that helps you have order.

I wrote this... poem? a while ago and thought I would share it because patience is an important thing to remember to have and exercise in every chapter of our lives, but of specially in our youth when so much of life is just waiting for us.

What is Patience?
by Anna Lynn

Patience is not sitting still and waiting while the world around you changes.
Patience is an active word, it tells you to have the perseverance to change the world around you.

Patience is not about being passive and avoiding conflict.
Patience is about being calm in the storm that goes ever on around us.

Patience is not waiting for the judgement to fall on your neighbor.
Patience is bearing an offense without the intent to seek revenge.

Patience is not about keeping yourself apart from others.
Patience is about being about to spread peace to others.

Patience is not a form of meditation.
Patience is hard work and enduring to the end.

Spirit Animal Family Portrait

A while ago everyone in my family decided on a spirit animal for themselves, and I thought it would be fun to try to draw a family portrait :)

You probably can't read the names and might not even be able to tell what everything is so let me explain...

Magpie = Aunt Tina
Spider (hanging from magpie) = Raef (her son)
Baby pygmy goat = Mimi
Koala = Lily
Cat (he decided later he was a ferret) = Josh
Brown Bear = Me
Hamster on bears nose = Chloe
St. Bernard = Dad
Fluffy Cat = Mom
Wild Cat = Thalia
Otter in a barrel = Howl (Tina's other son)

I suggest doing this for fun, because it was really fun :) and funny to see how your family would look.

Comment your spirit animal!
