Stuck in a Rut

Sometimes as we go through life we become "Stuck in a *Rut".
*Rut definition: a habit or pattern of behavior that has become dull and unproductive but is hard to change.
*Adding personal definition: a challenge/temptation or road block that stops you from progressing for any number of reasons.

Unlike other challenges we may face, becoming "stuck in a rut" is purely our own choice. Now that doesn't mean that we have full power of avoiding a rut, it just means we can choose what we do when we get there.

On the road of life there are ruts that are sometimes unavoidable and we have no choice but to go into them to get past them. A lot of the time you won't even notice your in one until you've already climbed out. Each rut is filled with unshaped material that represents our time and challenges we will face there.

Sometimes getting stuck in a rut means having to wait for the rain (or challenges) to come before being able to either sink or swim out of it.

Sometimes we can realize by ourselves that where we are is not a good place and reshape our lives into something that will lift us higher.

Other times though we will forget where we are going and make ourselves comfortable in the place where we're at. This is the most dangerous because we are on this journey for a reason and if we become content with the way we are right now and have no more motive to progress further we will never reach our final destination.

Now sometimes you might think "what's the point? I just keep falling" but when you think this remember to look at the bigger picture and at how far you've already come...

So when you get stuck in a rut remember you are on a journey. You are here to progress so get out of that rut as fast as you can and keep climbing up.
